加拿大籍国际艺术家Andreas Guibert，曾在世界各地留下了他的大量作品，新媒体艺术作品和行为表演，出生于阿根廷，曾经生活在巴西，美国，西班牙，法国，英国，加拿大等国，现在移居上海，仍然是一位创意不断的传授新媒体技术的艺术教师。

Andreas Guibert在中国的第一个个展愿意给上海的艺术爱好者一个难忘的圣诞午茶聚会：在记录着他激情的大幅神话幻景的油画前，Andreas Guibert将进行他特殊的行为艺术表演。Andreas Guibert已经在世界的众多艺术场所进行过他的行为艺术表演，他游历于世界多个地方生活的经验和感受在他的创作中反映，他在自己作品前的行为表演也是那么游离与恍惚。在顶层画廊展示的艺术作品是他最新在上海的创作，是他的新锐艺术历程的延伸……出生于阿根廷的Andreas Guibert在他的表演中不断地反映他的西班牙血统，在特定的视觉景象前面表现人类脆弱敏感的心灵。这次的行为艺术表演是Andreas Guibert“上海新娘”展览的开幕，也是整个展览的重要组成部分，他的学生们和朋友们都会远道赶来祝贺并参与，也期待着您的加入。

Shanghai’s Bride---New Works Exhibition by Andreas Guibert

This new work presented at “The Room with a View” is part of a body of work in which snapshots interrelated with the craftsmanship of the traditional language of painting. Andreas like the immediacy of time based art plus the more elaborated “hand made” quality of traditional art media, a marriage of sort between the two medias. This work is mainly inspired by Shanghai cityscapes in an almost dreamlike quality.

Opening at 3pm, Performance at 4pm. December 23^ed，2006

Along with his painting exhibition, Andreas Guibert, will also give a performance based on the mythical dreamscape that his paintings reveal. Mr. Guibert has performed in many venues in an international context, and always alludes to the site specific landscapes that he inhabits in his wanderings. Born in Argentina, Mr Guibert reflects upon his Spanish ancestry through the analysis of the fragile human condition. This universal theme is grounded in the tradition of performance art and exposes “Shanghai’s Bride” as a component of this expression.
